A Little About the Position
What We’re Looking For
We’re hiring speech-language pathologists who are passionate about play-based, child-led therapy and value collaboration, autonomy, and growth. Ideal candidates will have:
A valid Speech-Language Pathology license in Virginia
Strong clinical skills in evaluating and treating a variety of speech and language disorders
Confidence working independently in a small, supportive clinic setting
A flexible, open-minded attitude and willingness to collaborate and ask questions

Compensation: $62K–$75K annually, based on experience

Responsibilities:
Conduct speech-language evaluations
Provide therapy to children with various speech and language needs
Write SOAP notes, evaluation and progress reports, and treatment plans

A typical caseload is around 30 patients.

This is a salaried position, but there are 3 paperwork times built into the schedule per day and a 1-hour lunch.

We are a very small therapy clinic. For the time being, you will be working alongside Kelly. Though growing the team is in the plans, you would need to be okay with a small environment working mainly by yourself throughout the day. Kelly will be on sight Monday-Thursday and on Fridays if needed. This role is very independent and provides autonomy for the employee. We trust you to do your job, but Kelly will be there for you whenever you need support.

You will have the option to choose from 4 different schedule templates.

It is very important for documentation to be timely in this role. We provide plenty of time for documentation during the workday. Initial evaluations are due within 1 week of evaluating the client. SOAP notes are due within 24 hours of seeing the client.

Step 1:

Step 2:
In that same message, please include your availability for virtual interviews. If we would like to move forward with a virtual interview, we will reach out.
Step 3:
After the virtual interview, if we’re both still feeling like it’s a great fit, we’ll reach out to schedule a paid working interview. During this visit, you’ll come in to see the space, answer a few additional questions, and spend about 15 minutes working with one of our clients using a provided care plan. This isn’t meant to be intimidating, we want to see how you engage with children and families, handle behaviors, and collaborate as part of a team! You’ll receive compensation for your time during the mock session, because we truly value the time and effort you're investing.

After the working interview, we’ll follow up with next steps and let you know if we’d like to move forward with onboarding.
